Khofifah Flags Off Six Export Trucks from East Java’s Desa Devisa IKM Worth USD 351.6 Thousand

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa officially released six export trucks carrying products from the province’s Desa Devisa–based small and medium industries (IKM), with a total value of USD 351.6 thousand (equivalent to IDR 5.8 billion). The release, part of the 2025 East Java Export Festival held at PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya, marks a significant push to strengthen the competitiveness of Desa Devisa products. This year also saw the launch of 72 new Desa Devisa, bringing the total to 293 as of November 2025, reflecting strong collaboration among the provincial government, Pelindo Regional III, and the Indonesian Export Companies Association (GPEI). Key shipments include ginger to Bangladesh, cassava chips to South Korea, dried noodles to the Netherlands, crackers to India, footwear to South Korea, and animal feed to Australia.

The event also featured business matching achievements, including agreements between four export-oriented SMEs and Malaysia’s Trade Attaché, with commitments ranging from handicrafts and towel baskets to palm sugar and herbal beverages. Khofifah emphasized continuous collaboration to boost export capacity, support beginner exporters, and accelerate downstreaming of key commodities. The provincial government continues to lead trade missions—particularly to eastern Indonesia—to expand market access for Desa Devisa products. The festival also highlighted recognition for export-supporting SMEs and local governments, along with business matching outcomes valued at USD 239.52 million (IDR 3.95 trillion).
