The Indonesian Embassy in Beijing organized a business forum in Ulaan Baatar titled “Expanding Horizons in Trade and Investment” to foster trade and investment ties with Mongolia. Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia, Djauhari Oratmangun, highlighted that despite geographical distance, Indonesia and Mongolia share similar aspirations such as economic resilience, industrial diversification, sustainable development, and greater regional and global market connectivity.
Attended by high-level officials from both countries — including Mongolian Foreign Ministry representatives and business leaders from the national chamber of commerce — the forum created a platform for exploring concrete cooperation. According to Djauhari, Indonesia’s strong, stable economy offers complementary opportunities in sectors like clean energy, mining technology, agribusiness, halal meat, tourism, digital solutions, and infrastructure.
