Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, welcomed ambassadors, business leaders, and global investors during the Mahakam Investment Forum (MIF) 2025, held at the KIPP (Central Government Core Area), Nusantara, on 10 October 2025. The forum, organized by Bank Indonesia East Kalimantan, aimed to explore cross-sector investment cooperation and boost international engagement in the development of Indonesia’s new capital.
Basuki highlighted that Nusantara has completed its basic infrastructure and is preparing for the construction of office and residential areas for the trias politica. Over 50 investors have already signed agreements. The forum presented three key sectors for investment: housing and residential, education and tech, and commercial and lifestyle. Enthusiastic responses came from embassies and investors, including Pakistan’s Ambassador Zahid Hafeez, who expressed interest in building an international school and investing in housing. The event underscores growing global confidence in IKN’s development and its positioning as Indonesia’s future economic superhub.
