Indonesia to Participate in CAEXPO 2025 in China with Three Newly Designed Pavilions

From 17-21 September 2025, Indonesia will be participating in the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), taking place in Nanning, China. CAEXPO is an annual exhibition that was established following the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) agreement and has become a significant event for promoting cooperation in trade, investment, tourism and technology between China and ASEAN member countries. A total of 84 Indonesian businesses from various sectors will be participating in the exhibition. The participating businesses include PT Rahayu Alam Arto, which specialises in coffee products; Jember Fashion Carnaval, a fashion enterprise; PT Inti Alam Andalas, a spice and marine product supplier; PT Metro Impex Makmur, a coconut product wholesaler; and PT Amora Walet Indonesia, a swallow's nest product distributor. Indonesia's participation in CAEXPO 2025 is a tangible manifestation of its ongoing strategy to increase exports and attract strategic investment. 

This year, participation has been expanded to include new sectors that demonstrate Indonesia's progress in the digital economy. Furthermore, Indonesia is emphasising the potential of artificial intelligence as a new strength of the economy. As part of its participation, Indonesia will be presenting three flagship pavilions: the Commodity Pavilion, the National Pavilion, and the Artificial Intelligence Pavilion. The Commodity Pavilion will showcase a variety of Indonesia's leading products, ranging from processed foods and beverages, fashion and accessories, to home décor and lifestyle products. Meanwhile, the National Pavilion (City of Charm) will showcase the charm and potential of South Kalimantan Province, promoting trade opportunities, investment potential and the province's rich tourism and culture. Lastly, the Artificial Intelligence Pavilion will serve as a showcase for Indonesian start-ups and technology companies to demonstrate their AI-based innovations, products and solutions. The presence of the artificial intelligence pavilion is a strategic measure by Indonesia in entering the digital economy era, and demonstrates the country's readiness to become a key player in the high-tech industry in the region.
