On 10 September 2025, CV Bunga Palm shipped 25 tons of coconut sugar with a total export value of USD 60,000 to the United States. The Regent of Purbalingga, Fahmi Muhammad Hanif, officially inaugurated the export of organic coconut sugar. CV Bunga Palm, based in Purbalingga, Central Java, is an organic sugar producer that has attained international standards, with a production process that prioritises environmental sustainability and fosters local farmers' empowerment. This export will enable Purbalingga Regency to enhance the quality of its exports to the global market. The quality of Purbalingga coconut sugar is expected to drive continued growth in this sector, given the high demand for this product. This is evident from the export traders in Jakarta and Sumatra who source coconut sugar from Purbalingga.
Exports of Purbalingga coconut sugar to international markets totalled 8,000 tons last year, and this figure is increasing. In the future, it is expected that supply capabilities will be increased, business actors will be able to supply directly to international companies, and link and match with the Ministry of Trade. Since 2019, CV Bunga Palm has exported palm sugar to 13 countries and is expected to increase exports starting in 2025.
