The Kupang Exotic Festival 2025 is set to become a vital platform for promoting local economic development in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), aligning with the spirit of the Buy NTT Products and Let’s Build NTT movements. Organized through collaboration between Bank Indonesia, the NTT Provincial Government, and the NTT Police, the festival is scheduled for June 26–28, 2025. Joni Rohi, Head of Creative Economy Development at the NTT Tourism and Creative Economy Office, emphasized during a media gathering that the event aims to maximize the region’s unique potential in tourism, the creative economy, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The festival will feature four main segments: a culinary festival (Culinary), a cultural parade and MSME bazaar (Creative), a running competition (Run), and an arts and culture night (Night). These diverse events are designed not only to celebrate local heritage but also to generate social, cultural, and economic impact for the community. The provincial government is actively encouraging participation from MSMEs, running clubs, students, and local communities to ensure a vibrant and inclusive celebration. With strong collaboration and wide media outreach, the Kupang Exotic Festival is expected to become an annual tourism highlight, enhancing NTT’s image as a safe and attractive destination while spotlighting its rich local economy and cultural assets.
