Improving Economic Competitiveness and Encouraging Investment, the Government is Structuring the National Logistics Ecosystem

The government continues to work to improve national logistics performance to improve the investment climate and improve the competitiveness of the national economy, through the structuring of the national logistics ecosystem. The move was implemented by the President of the Republic of Indonesia by issuing Presidential Instruction number 5 of 2020 on The Structuring of the National Logistics Ecosystem.

The government has also prepared various strategic measures in order to arrange the logistics ecosystem, among others through the simplification of government service business processes in the field of logistics based on information technology to eliminate reps and duplication. Collaboration between government services and international and domestic logistics actors, simplification of state acceptance payment transactions and payment facilities between businesses related to logistics processes, as well as the structuring of spatial governance and distribution channels.

"We know together that this national logistic problem is one of the elements that determine the competitive power of the Indonesian economy. Efforts to continue to improve are certainly a cooperative effort of all agencies or institutions that have implemented the President's decision on programs for national improvement of this ecosystem", said the Minister of Foreign Office in an online Press Conference with the National Logistics Ecosystem.
