The North Sulawesi Quarantine has examined 13,657 live grouper fish ready for export to Hong Kong. Head of North Sulawesi Quarantine, I Wayan Kertanegara, stated that these fish, originating from Bitung, underwent inspection before sailing to Hong Kong. The inspection included physical examination and administrative checks to ensure compliance with regulations.
Additionally, the fish were required to have health requirement documents, confirming freedom from fish diseases like Viral Nervous Necrosis. These measures aim to prevent the spread of fish diseases internationally. Kertanegara emphasized the importance of professional service and ensuring accurate reporting through online systems. Once all requirements are met, the healthy grouper fish can be safely exported to their destination country.
