The Crafts Sector Holds Great Potential to Create Economic Opportunities for Communities.

The craft and creative economy sector in East Kalimantan continues to show promising development, with Bumi Etam actively promoting creative economy through various programs and initiatives, including training, guidance, and access to local and international markets. This inclusivity aims to ensure that all individuals have equal opportunities to enjoy life and thrive while preventing discrimination. Inclusive economics is crucial for addressing social disparities and promoting sustainable development. Bramantyo Adi Nugroho, a researcher from the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (Brida) of East Kalimantan, stated that the craft sector, which falls under the Creative Economy, is exceptionally robust. In East Kalimantan, there are over 1000 entrepreneurs in this sector, and their products have export potential with the right attention and innovation. "Inclusive economics considers the interests of all parties, especially the vulnerable and marginalized. By integrating the creative economy and export commodities, we can create opportunities and balance for the entire community," said Bramantyo.

Meanwhile, the export potential of the craft sector in East Kalimantan is also increasingly promising. Craft products such as handicrafts, traditional textiles, and artworks have attracted foreign market interest, especially with the growing demand for unique and high-quality products. With this momentum, entrepreneurs in the craft sector of East Kalimantan have significant opportunities to develop their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to inclusive economic growth in the region.
