Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM) Encourages Collaborative Efforts to Empower Innovative Women Entrepreneurs Based on Technology. Advisor to the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM), Rully Nuryanto, acknowledges that women entrepreneurs still face quite complex challenges for the sustainability and continuity of their businesses. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed to promote the empowerment of women entrepreneurs. He conveyed this during the launch event of the Women in Entrepreneurship program by Standard Chartered for MSMEs. "Currently, we are encouraging potential sectors such as agriculture, health, and wellness, clean energy, and technology, which prioritize Sustainable Development Goals with economic scalability according to target markets," said Rully through an official statement quoted by InfoPublik on Monday.

According to Rully, the government continues to support programs or activities that are not only limited to training sessions (one-shot knowledge sharing) but also technical/practical programs for improving corporate governance and business development with the achievement of shared targets. Empowering women entrepreneurs is one of the important pillars in the national economic development, which is also in line with the government's vision to make Indonesia a global economic power by 2045. Moreover, women entrepreneurs play a role in Indonesia's economy. Women entrepreneurs in Indonesia have great potential to increase their contribution to economic growth. "Our hope is that the Women in Entrepreneurship program by Standard Chartered for MSMEs can provide significant benefits for women entrepreneurs to become future SMEs in Indonesia and serve as an effective collaboration hub," said Rully. Furthermore, he also hopes that this program can create an impact on the development and sustainability of participants' businesses, as well as open up access to markets, aggregators, or even financing to meet national economic and market scales. Director of Compliance at Standard Chartered, Dewi Muhfiyanti, explained that together with the Benih Baik Foundation, they have mentored around 3,000 women MSMEs throughout Indonesia. "The Women in Entrepreneurship program serves as a bridge for gender gaps in the business world, fostering entrepreneurial spirit among women," Dewi said.
