The Sukobubuk Rejo Forest Farmer Group in Pati Regency, Central Java Province, achieved a significant milestone on February 6, 2024, by conducting the inaugural export of agroforestry commodity, petai, to Japan. Situated in a sustainably developed social forestry area, the farmer group has been practicing agroforestry focused on cultivating petai, which not only provides economic benefits but also contributes to environmental conservation and forest sustainability. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry provided crucial support through training, technical assistance, and facilitating seller-meet-buyer events for the forest farmer group's products.
