PT Surveyor Indonesia (PTSI) is actively contributing to grassroots economic development through its Wanasuka Empowerment Program, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Collaborating with the Indonesian Farmers School Foundation, PTSI focuses on empowering the Kencana Windu farmer group in Wanasuka Village, West Java. This selection is based on the group's strong cooperative spirit and commitment to enhancing agricultural quality, particularly in coffee and horticulture. The program's four pillars include environmental conservation with the provision of 1,000 organic coffee seedlings, economic empowerment through the Farmers' Self-Reliance Movement (GEMAR TANI), education and literacy enhancement, and support for digital literacy in Wanasuka. The holistic approach aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating PTSI's commitment to community well-being.
The Wanasuka Empowerment Program's impact is evident in increased productivity and efficiency among coffee farmers, leading to improved incomes and enhanced family well-being. Founder of the Indonesian Farmers School, Fatoni Saputra, underscores the program's broader significance by emphasizing the importance of work that not only completes tasks but also contributes to knowledge, relationships, and positive community impact. Looking forward, PTSI, in partnership with the Indonesian Farmers School, aims to further elevate the quality of coffee processes and products, ensuring they meet the required standards for both domestic and international markets. The program's success is acknowledged with an award at the BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit (BCOMMS) 2024, specifically the Awarding Sustainability BUMN Local Heroes category, reinforcing PTSI's commitment to sustainable agriculture and community development.
