Italian Investment Council: 10 Areas of Activity to Foster Investments in Italy

The Italian Investment Council's Remind event, aimed at promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors for Italy's economic, social, and secure growth, recently took place. Opening remarks were given by Lorenzo Fontana, President of the Chamber, highlighting the importance of foreign investments for Italy's predominantly small and medium-sized enterprises. Raffaele Fitto, Minister for European Affairs and Policies, emphasized the significant revision of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), signaling a crucial phase in its implementation. Nicola Procaccini discussed the European scenario, focusing on the European Investment Bank's pivotal role in fostering collaboration for investments in innovation and climate transition. Marco Rago, along with other industry experts, addressed technical and scientific aspects, followed by Lucia Albano's insights into economic policies. Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted Italy's efforts to increase cooperation with African nations, redirecting climate funds towards the continent. Maria Tripodi, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, underscored the government's commitment to facilitating investments and collaborations between public and private sectors.


The event also featured sessions on simplification, sustainability, transportation, sports, and tourism. Speakers like Maria Elisabetta Alberta Casellati, Minister for Institutional Reforms, emphasized the importance of simplifying regulations to ensure legal certainty and support economic growth. Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of Environment, discussed the government's focus on sustainable development and attracting investments. Daniela Santanchè, Minister of Tourism, emphasized the tourism sector's contribution to Italy's economy and outlined strategic initiatives to support its growth. The event concluded with remarks from Renato Loiero, highlighting ten intervention areas for fostering growth, sustainable development, security, and investment attractiveness in Italy. Overall, the event showcased Italy's commitment to fostering collaboration between public and private sectors, streamlining regulations, promoting sustainable development, and attracting investments to drive economic growth.
