Empowering Local Farmers, UMKM Supported by Yogyakarta Customs Export 50 Kilograms of Coffee to the Philippines

Kopinang Indische Koffie, a micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (UMKM) under the guidance of Yogyakarta Customs, has successfully exported 50 kilograms of coffee to the Philippines. Utilizing the postal consignment mechanism, the shipment will be sent via air freight, amounting to USD 376.93. The exported coffee comprises various types sourced from multiple coffee plantations across Boyolali and Temanggung, each packaged in 2.5-kilogram units, as highlighted by Imelda Liliyanti, the owner of Kopinang Indische Koffie, on Monday (5/2/2024).

Kopinang Indische Koffie is among the UMKM supported by Yogyakarta Customs through the PROSTARI program (Independent Women Entrepreneurs Program), aimed at empowering women in Yogyakarta to actively participate in regional economic development. Turanto Sih Wardoyo, Head of the Customs and Excise Service Section VI, expressed hope that this export initiative serves as the first step towards larger-scale exports in the future. Yogyakarta Customs is committed to providing ongoing assistance to export-oriented UMKM as part of its mandate to offer industrial support.
