The estimated 2024 contract value with the Japanese company stands at IDR 800 million for an exclusive arrangement covering approximately 20,000 kokedama products. Production involves collaboration with local entrepreneurs, notably utilizing coconut husk. Acting Mayor Aries Agung Paewai stressed Batu City's interconnectedness between tourism, SMEs, and agriculture, with kokedama embodying this synergy. He expressed hope for continued youth-driven kokedama initiatives.
