Boosting the Tourism Sector: Collaboration with the National Creative Economy Movement towards Indonesia Emas 2045

Dwidayatour opens 2024 with a positive stride, affirming its commitment to Indonesia's creative industry growth. Partnering with the National Creative Economy Movement (Gekrafs), Dwidayatour facilitates accommodation for members, fostering a conducive environment to achieve the Indonesia Emas 2045 target. Recognizing the pivotal role of the creative industry in national economic development, the collaboration aligns with government objectives. Dwidayatour, with the widest branch network nationwide, supports Gekrafs by providing corporate rates for Teletravel services, catering to both business and personal travel needs, including attendance at Gekrafs events. In 2022, the creative economy significantly contributed to the national GDP, reaching IDR 1,134.9 trillion. The strategic collaboration aims to extend ease of travel not only to Gekrafs members but also to creative entrepreneurs affiliated with the movement, promoting seamless business journeys.

Hendri Yapto, Chief Operations Officer of Dwidayatour, emphasized their role in supporting Gekrafs' creative agenda through travel facilitation. The collaboration benefits not only Gekrafs members but also creative individuals partnering with the movement. The initiative aims to stimulate even hidden creative industries in various regions, contributing to a more widespread growth of the creative economy in Indonesia. Chairman of Gekrafs, Kawendra Lukistian, welcomed the collaboration, acknowledging the importance of travel convenience for Gekrafs members to move freely throughout Indonesia. He sees Dwidayatour's active involvement as a catalyst, making the journey lighter for Gekrafs to expand creative industries nationwide. The strategic partnership, signed on January 15, 2024, reflects a commitment to the future of Indonesia's creative economy. Kawendra appreciates Dwidayatour's proactive role in supporting national creative industry development, hoping for more significant contributions from other major players in different industries to realize Indonesia Emas 2045. Recent surveys by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy indicate optimism among experts, with 35.71% anticipating a return to pre-pandemic tourism conditions by 2024. The survey involves 84 experts, academics, government officials, and tourism industry leaders. Quality and innovative tourism destination development is identified as a crucial factor in future tourism sector growth, although other influences on Indonesia's tourism sector are also acknowledged.
