Looking ahead to 2024, plans are underway to establish the Sragen Creative Hub, financially supported by the Ministry of Industry, strategically positioned behind the Sukowati Batik Center. "This space is intended for the people of Sragen. An area once stigmatized will be transformed into a communal center. Its evolution will designate it as a business nucleus, catering to various sectors like hospitality," expressed the Regent. He anticipates that the development of the Sukowati Batik Center will catalyze improved economic prospects, fostering heightened productivity among Sragen's populace. "Indulge in shopping as Sragen Batik is exceptional. It offers affordability coupled with outstanding quality and striking motifs, boosting one's self-assurance," he emphasized.
Sragen Regency stands as a focal point for batik production in Indonesia, currently undergoing deliberate expansion efforts. With 136 batik enterprises in the region, their output caters to both domestic needs and international export. To further the development of batik in Sragen, Kusdinar Untung Yuni urges community support and engagement in promoting and purchasing locally made batik.
