The Bandung Regency Government in West Java has successfully overseen the export of a container carrying 19.5 tons of coffee to France through collaboration with the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). The export, with a value exceeding IDR 2 billion, consists of both Arabica and Robusta coffee varieties. Dicky Anugerah, Head of the Department of Trade and Industry in Bandung Regency, expressed satisfaction over the achievement, highlighting that this initiative aims to revive Bandung Regency's prominence in the European and Middle Eastern coffee markets. Simultaneously, it contributes to expanding opportunities for coffee exports internationally. The exported coffee is not limited to France, as Bandung Regency has already successfully shipped coffee to various countries, including those in the Middle East, Germany, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and East Asian countries such as Japan and Korea. In February 2021, Bandung Regency exported 6 tons of Arabica coffee to Hamburg, Germany.

Dicky emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing the quality and quantity of exported coffee, both Arabica and Robusta, to meet the growing demand. He expressed pride in this accomplishment, considering it a significant milestone for the local government to have Bandung's coffee and other commodities gain global recognition. Beyond coffee, Bandung Regency has also exported other agricultural commodities, such as ginger and tubers to Malaysia, and porang plants to China. Additionally, they have facilitated the export of manufactured goods to several other countries. Dicky affirmed the commitment of the Bandung Regency Government to further boost the export potential of local commodities, encouraging farmers and cooperatives to sustain and improve the quality of their products for continued international success.
