Malindo Exports 18 Tons of Processed Chicken to Singapore

In pursuit of increased export sales, PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk. (MAIN) has once again exported processed chicken products to Singapore. Through its entity PT Malindo Food Delight Cikarang, MAIN shipped 3 containers of 18 tons of processed products valued at USD 90,000 or approximately IDR 1.4 billion in Bekasi, West Java. Director of Malindo Feedmill, stated in a press release in Jakarta that the successful export of Malindo to Singapore, a country known for its stringent quality standards, is evidence of MAIN's competitive products. He noted that this achievement required a series of audits by the Singaporean government, specifically the Singapore Food Agency (SFA). The audit process encompassed everything from chicken farming farms, poultry slaughterhouses (RPHU), to processing plants. Since 2020, Malindo, through its SunnyGold processed products, has successfully exported to the Japanese market. The target is to export 2 containers of frozen chicken and 2 containers of processed products to Singapore in November.

Acting Minister of Agriculture, is optimistic that these exports can contribute to his efforts to reduce imports and strengthen domestic production. Indonesia has several flagship programs, and practices like this export need to be intensified.  Meanwhile, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health, emphasised that this export achievement was possible because the Ministry of Agriculture had implemented various standards and regulations that were guiding principles in producing high-quality animal-based food products. At the producer level, at the upstream level, the Ministry of Agriculture, through the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health, supports business actors in implementing Good Breeding Practice (GBP), Good Farming Practice (GFP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure the production of high-quality livestock. The implementation of the Avian Influenza (AI) Disease-Free Compartment System, which is one of the Ministry of Agriculture's policies to boost the quality of exported livestock products. "With the AI-free compartment, Indonesia can once again export poultry and its processed products to several countries. Furthermore, in an effort to provide safe, healthy, intact, and halal (ASUH) animal-based food guarantees, the government, through the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health, certifies the Veterinary Control Number (NKV) for animal product units. The implementation of this has been delegated to provincial governments under the central government's guidance.
