Trade Surplus in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province for September 2023 Amounts to USD 52.20 Million

The trade balance of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province in September 2023 recorded a surplus of USD 52.20 million. Cumulatively, from January to September 2023, NTB Province's trade balance shows a surplus of USD 844.35 million. When the value of exports exceeds that of imports, it is referred to as a trade surplus. The total value of NTB Province's exports in September 2023 amounted to approximately USD 85.292 million. Meanwhile, the total imports for NTB Province in September 2023 reached USD 33.093 million. The largest portion of NTB Province's exports in September 2023 was directed to South Korea, accounting for 94.58%, followed by the United States at 2.16%, and Australia at 1.48%. The major commodity groups of NTB Province's exports in September 2023 included Non-Oil and Gas Mining Products amounting to USD 80.610.172 (94.51%), Jewelry/Gemstones at USD 2.037.829 (2.39%), Fish and Shrimp at USD 1.404.604 (1.65%), Processed Meat and Fish at USD 460.599 (0.54%), as well as Salt, Sulfur, and Lime at USD 269.241 (0.32%).

The highest-exported commodity group is Non-Oil and Gas Mining Products, amounting to USD 80.610 million (94.51%), with South Korea as the destination country. Other significant commodity groups with substantial exports include jewelry and gemstones, fish and shrimp, processed meat and fish, salt, sulfur, lime, and oilseeds. In contrast, the imports in September 2023 came primarily from China at 56.03%, Finland at 13.40%, Thailand at 9.18%, and others at 21.40%. The most substantial commodity groups in September 2023 imports were Machinery/Mechanical Aircraft at 72.13%, Plastics and Plastic Goods at 8.92%, Explosives at 7.36%, and Vehicles and Their Components at 5.19%. The highest-imported commodity group was Machinery/Mechanical Aircraft, totaling USD 23.871 million (72.31%), with importing countries including China, Finland, Spain, and others. Other notable commodity groups with significant imports included plastics and plastic goods, explosives, vehicles and their components, mineral fuels, and electrical machinery/maintenance. In terms of usage, the largest share of imported goods in September 2023 consisted of raw materials and auxiliaries at 62.30%.
