Indonesia's Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, has set an ambitious goal for the country to attain developed nation status by 2045 while becoming a major player in the global market. To achieve this vision, Indonesia must focus on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and simplifying the process of exporting to international markets. Minister Zulkifli Hasan made these remarks during a coordination meeting involving 97 Issuing Authorities for Certificates of Origin (IPSKA) in Semarang, Central Java. He emphasized that the principles of accelerating and streamlining exports are crucial, as they will not only contribute to economic growth but also boost foreign exchange reserves.
Minister Hasan encouraged exporters to make the most of trade agreements negotiated with partner countries, highlighting their significance in facilitating international trade. Indonesia has already established several trade agreements, acting as "toll ways," to streamline the process. He also stressed Indonesia's potential for growth, particularly with its demographic bonus, and emphasized that this potential must be fully harnessed. The Minister emphasized that exporters play a pivotal role in this endeavor and must continue to expand their efforts to increase exports. The coordination meeting also acknowledged and awarded IPSKA entities for their excellence in various categories, recognizing their significant contribution to promoting Indonesia's trade on the global stage.
