He also stressed the country's demand for innovative healthcare products and devices, anticipating a fourfold increase in demand to serve its 60,000 healthcare facilities catering to a population of 270 million. The Deputy Minister's participation in the HIMSS23 APAC Health Conference & Exhibition underlined the importance of technology in empowering patients and enhancing healthcare services while also acknowledging the challenge of collecting accurate healthcare data in Indonesia.
Additionally, Setiaji, Head of the Digital Transformation Office at the Ministry of Health, highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare resilience and adapt to unforeseen challenges. The SATUSEHAT platform, derived from the PeduliLindungi app, has garnered over 111 million active users and plays a vital role in standardizing data exchange protocols and integrating Indonesia's healthcare ecosystem through big data and artificial intelligence, aiding in informed policy decisions.
