The agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors remain the backbone of Aceh's economy, contributing to 28.50% of its economic activity. They are followed by the trade and vehicle repair sector at 15.53% and the construction sector at 9.20%. In the recently released Aceh Provincial Economic Report for August 2023, these three sectors continue to provide significant support to the structure of Aceh's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Together, these sectors contribute a substantial 52.78% to the total GRDP, underscoring their vital role in maintaining economic stability in Aceh.

The agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sector, which serve as the primary pillars, have seen consistent growth, enhancing food security and creating job opportunities.

Simultaneously, the trade and vehicle repair sector also play a crucial role in facilitating economic growth by connecting Aceh to regional and national markets. Agricultural businesses' performance in the second quarter of 2023 grew by 4.92% year-on-year. This accelerated performance aligns with increased rice production in the second quarter of 2023 due to the harvest season in March. The uptick in rice production is also attributed to increased financing directed towards the agricultural sector. In the second quarter of 2023, financing for the agricultural sector reached IDR 3.79 trillion, reflecting a growth of 34.44%.
