Indonesia is showing its economic strength with a focus on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as the national economic power, even in Papua Barat, amidst the current global economic changes. The Acting Secretary of Papua Barat, Dance Sangkek, stated that President Joko Widodo has launched the Proud of Indonesian Made (GBBI) and Proud of Indonesian Tourism (GBWI) movements since 2022 to face the economic recession.

Dance said that the Papua Barat Government must move towards regional economic resilience, given the fiscal capacity challenges and many deficiencies. The Governor, Komjen Pol (Ret.) Drs. Paulus Waterpauw, M.Si, instructed the government agencies to make a joint commitment to the economic revival starting from MSMEs. Papua Barat is targeting transactions of up to Rp50 billion by 2024 since the GBBI and GBWI were launched.

Therefore, all business actors are requested to carry out massive transactions in 2024. GBBI and GBWI are a form of consolidation of Papua Barat's economic revival and are realized in the MSME exhibition. He invited everyone to continue to encourage and accompany MSMEs in strengthening them, thus stimulating the economy in Papua Barat. MSMEs in the creative economy are the current choice, as we can no longer rely on natural resources, which will eventually run out.
