Indonesia's Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, has stated that the country's manufacturing industry is thriving due to the Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) for Indonesian manufacturing and the Industrial Confidence Index (IKI) being in the expansion phase. The growth is driven by domestic demand, the fourth industrial revolution, the utilization of technology to increase efficiency and competitiveness, and the development of human resources.
Minister Agus is optimistic about the future of Indonesia's manufacturing industry, stating that it is supported by the government's determination to create a conducive business environment through various strategic programs and policies. In addition, Indonesia's participation as the official partner country in the Hannover Messe 2023 in Germany is expected to play a significant role in the development of Indonesia's manufacturing sector, by introducing various industrial sectors that have implemented digital transformation and building national branding in the international arena.
