Syukri Botutihe, the Secretary of the Gorontalo Provincial Government, has stated that the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) significantly affects the economic conditions in Gorontalo. He expressed this view at a meeting of the Regional Banking Musyawarah Agency with local government officials and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum in Gorontalo on Wednesday. Syukri hopes that all relevant parties present at the event will be enthusiastic about developing small and medium-sized businesses.
Syukri also expressed his appreciation to the Bank Indonesia Provincial Representative Office in Gorontalo for its cooperation in launching a program to support inflation control and poverty reduction in the region. He called for the participation of local governments in nurturing MSMEs in their respective areas, hoping that together they can overcome challenges related to financing and funding. In addition, Dian Nugraha, the head of the Regional Development Planning Agency, hopes that such forums will continue to strengthen ties between institutions since the banking sector plays a significant role in driving economic growth in the region.
