According to data from the Bali Tourism Office, domestic tourist visits to Bali during the Lebaran holiday in 2023 increased by around 40% compared to normal days, with a significant increase starting from April 16. On that day, there were 21,154 domestic tourist arrivals and 42,000 departures. The average daily arrival of tourists during normal days is around 14,000 to 15,000. The increase is still ongoing but is expected to decrease soon.
The head of Bali's Tourism Office predicted that the number of local tourists would continue to increase until April 30. The hotel occupancy rate during the Lebaran season also surged up to 80%, with the highest occupancy rate in Ubud, Gianyar, reaching 82%. In contrast, Sanur, Denpasar, had a 43-70% occupancy rate, and Nusa Dua and Kuta, Badung, had an average occupancy rate of 80% since April 20.
