Indonesian Trade Minister, Zulkifli Hasan, also known as Zulhas, is pushing for the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia to boost the country's economic capacity. According to a post on Zulhas's Instagram page on Wednesday, SMEs have already contributed 60% to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) and absorbed 96% of the national workforce. As a result, the Trade Minister aims to support SMEs and help them find funding.
SMEs are the backbone of the country's economy, and the Minister is committed to strengthening the partnership between SMEs and modern retailers. Through this partnership, SMEs can benefit from modern retail management support, digital payment options, and guaranteed competitive pricing for their products. The Trade Minister hopes that this support will enable SMEs to expand and help entrepreneurs emerge, while also boosting Indonesia's economy.
