In March 2023, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Java recorded the largest increases and decreases in non-oil and gas exports for several HS 2-digit product groups compared to February 2023. Various Base Metal Goods (HS 83) experienced the largest increase of USD 83.77 million, followed by Copper (HS 74) at USD 52.20 million and Jewelry/Gemstones (HS 71) at USD 25.15 million.
On the other hand, Vehicles and Parts (HS 87) experienced a decrease of USD 26.81 million, followed by Iron and Steel (HS 72) at USD 21.10 million and Salt, Sulphur, Stone, and Cement (HS 25) at USD 5.99 million. The other sectors that experienced a decrease are Various Chemical Products (HS 38) at USD 5.20 million and Sugar and Confectionery (HS 17) at USD 3.81 million.
