The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has offered three oil and gas working areas to investors as part of efforts to increase production. The three working areas are located in West Papua, North Maluku, and West Sulawesi. According to the Director General of Oil and Gas at the ESDM, the working areas have the potential to produce up to 30,000 barrels of oil per day and 50 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
The offer of the three working areas is part of the government's efforts to boost production in the oil and gas sector and reduce dependence on imports. The ESDM has set a target of producing 1 million barrels of oil per day by 2030, up from around 700,000 barrels per day currently. The offer of the working areas is expected to attract investment and support the growth of the oil and gas industry in Indonesia.
