Indonesia's Participation as Official Partner in Hannover Messe 2023 Aims to Enter Global Supply Chain

The Indonesian government aims to enter the global industrial supply chain through participation as an official partner country in the Hannover Messe 2023, which will be held from April 17-21, 2023. Hannover Messe is one of the world's largest industrial technology exhibitions held annually in Hanover, Germany. Indonesia's participation as a partner country is a result of its success at the 2021 event.

Indonesia has four main targets at the Hannover Messe this year, including introducing its vision on the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting industrial cooperation, attracting foreign investment and exports, and improving bilateral relations with Germany as the host country. The Director-General of Information and Public Communication at the Ministry of Communication and Information, Usman Kansong, said that Indonesia wants to showcase itself as a good and promising place for investment at the event.

Indonesia is the first ASEAN country to become an official partner country at Hannover Messe three times. The Indonesian pavilion at the fairground will feature 157 co-exhibitors, including businesses, industries, associations, and a display on the concept of developing special economic zones and the new national capital city, Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) Nusantara. The government hopes that Indonesia's participation in the event will attract more investors and create new job opportunities for its citizens.
