Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer Aruna Utari Octavianty won the award from JPMorgan, an American multinational financial services and investment banking company headquartered in New York City.The awards for the 'Top 100 Asia-Pacific Women-Powered' and 'High-Growth Businesses' categories were received at Rosewood Hong Kong, quoted on Monday (27/3/2023).
At the award event, JPMorgan invited nearly 1,000 community investors and business owners from around the world.Utari also held exclusive business discussions, he was considered successful in his initiative to bring a new breakthrough in the marine and fisheries industry.
Chief Executive Officer for Asia Private Bank JP Morgan Kam Shing Kwang said, Utari teamed up with two of his college colleagues to solve problems in the supply chain of fishery products in Indonesia.
"Currently, they have succeeded in recruiting more than 40 thousand fishermen in 31 provinces in Indonesia. It was an extraordinary deed,” said Kwang.On the same occasion, Utari also made buyer visits to several existing and prospective buyers for Aruna's products in Hong Kong.
Fully supported by the Trade Consul of the Indonesian Consulate in Hong Kong, Aruna's initiative to contribute to boosting exports of fishery commodities was welcomed.
It is hoped that the results of this multi-stakeholder meeting can accelerate the distribution of Aruna Fishermen's fishery products in the near future so that they can enliven the Hong Kong market.
