The Ministry is providing incentives for investment, research and development, and production of EVs and supporting components, and is collaborating with related institutions to accelerate the development of EV infrastructure.

This effort aligns with the government's plan to promote electric vehicles as an alternative to conventional vehicles, which would reduce the country's dependence on imported fossil fuels and lower carbon emissions. The Ministry is also implementing other policies, such as the Industry 4.0 roadmap and the Making Indonesia 4.0 program, to strengthen the national automotive industry's competitiveness.
