Central Kalimantan has marine and fishery potential which has high economic value which is able to compete with other regions. A strategic program is urgently needed to encourage business continuity, investment and empowerment of marine and fisheries businesses through exporting marine and fishery products abroad.
In order to support the potential development of the Marine and Fisheries sector through export activities, the Head of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service (Dislutkan) Prov. Central Kalimantan Darliansjah accompanied by the Head of Cultivation, Processing and Marketing (Budlahsar) Sugeng Kaspani took part in the Indonesia-Singapore Business Matching activity through a zoom meeting at the Prov. Dislutkan Hall. Central Kalimantan, Wednesday (22/2/2023).
The Indonesia-Singapore Business Matching is an Indonesia-Singapore Agriculture Working Group collaboration organized by the Directorate General for Strengthening Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products (DJPDSPKP) KKP RI and the Singapore Food Agency in the context of increasing exports of marine and fishery products. In this activity Central Kalimantan Exporters will communicate directly with Buyers from the Singapore Food Agency in the process of product introduction and buying and selling.
Through this zoom, it is hoped that all exporters of marine and fishery products from Central Kalimantan can understand export procedures abroad and are motivated to continue to develop their businesses so that they can add value and provide significant profits.
"In accordance with the expectations of the Governor of Central Kalimantan that business actors and investments and empowerment of marine and fisheries businesses through the export of marine and fishery products abroad will run smoothly and as expected so that it can have an impact on increasing the development of the marine and fisheries sector which will make a significant contribution to the economy and regional income of Central Kalimantan," he concluded.
