Extraordinary, Realization of KUR in the Livestock Subsector in 2022 Increases 23.6%

Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) is proud, the realization of the People's Business Credit (KUR) for the Livestock Subsector in 2022 has increased 23.6% from the previous year. He conveyed this during a working visit by Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo to Rajendra Farm in Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta (14/02).

SYL stated that the realization of KUR in the livestock sub-sector in 2021 was valued at Rp. 15.54 trillion and in 2022 this will increase to Rp. 19.21 trillion rupiah with a relatively small NPL (Non Performing Loan) of 0.6%. According to him, this NPL value is an indicator of KUR for the Livestock Subsector, which turns out to be very few that are stuck, so that the health of the assets of banking institutions as KUR distributors is maintained.
"To overcome the limitations of the state budget, the Ministry of Agriculture continues to encourage the use of KUR to accelerate agricultural development, including the livestock sub-sector," said SYL.
SYL explained that during his leadership period, during 2020-2022 the performance of KUR in agriculture was encouraging. In 2020 the realization was IDR 55.30 trillion (110.62% of the IDR 50 trillion target). In 2021 the realization is IDR 85.62 trillion (122.31% of the target of IDR 70 trillion). Likewise in 2022, the realization of KUR is IDR 113.4 T (126.0% of the IDR 90 trillion target).

"I am very happy to see goat and sheep farms at Rajendra Farm. Please make a closed loop model like this in other areas," said Minister of Agriculture SYL. "Use KUR for the capital," he added.
Rajendra Farm is a closed loop model sheep farm that has been integrated from upstream to downstream as part of the Yogyakarta Sheep Breeders Cooperative (PPKDY).
For information, during the working visit of the Minister of Agriculture SYL, KUR facilitation was also handed over from the BPD for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Bank Mandiri and Bank Rakyat Indonesia to groups of breeders in DIY with a total value of Rp. 2.73 billion which was handed over symbolically.
On the same occasion the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health (Dirjen PKH) Nasrullah said, the KUR facilitation from the government in collaboration with banking is a form of support for strengthening access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in developing livestock breeding and cultivation businesses.

"We hope that through the use of KUR it can help increase the scale of the breeder's business," said Nasrullah. According to him, this KUR can also be used for animal husbandry and livestock agricultural machinery.
"With the additional capital to purchase good seeds, we hope that it will increase productivity, so that farmers' incomes increase and are more prosperous," Nasrullah added.
Nasrullah further said, in 2023 the Ministry of Agriculture targets the utilization of KUR for the livestock sub-sector to reach Rp. 24 Trillion. "Let's make maximum use of it for business capital, especially for repairing seeds and increasing business scale," he added. Furthermore
Nasrullah emphasized that the synergy between breeders and other business actors, as well as the government, both regional and central government, in livestock development is very important. "Banking support as KUR distributors is also highly expected because it must be understood together that the characteristics of the livestock business are very different from other sub-sectors, so there must be chemistry ," he concluded.
