To succeed in the national economic recovery program, Customs and Excise continuously cooperates with other relevant agencies to encourage exports from various regions. On this occasion, Tubagus Firman Hermansjah, Head of the Sub-directorate of Communication and Publications, said that through this synergy, Customs hopes to encourage the birth of exporters who will market superior commodities from each region to the international market. “This is what the West Kalimantan Customs and Excise Office has done in collaboration with the Food Crops and Horticulture Office, representatives of the banking sector, as well as several agricultural entrepreneurs, to encourage the export of horticultural commodities. Of course, Customs and Excise will provide assistance related to exports, customs facilities, and fiscal facilities for prospective exporters," said Firman.
Firman added that in order to make the export of horticultural commodities a success, guidance for farmers in West Kalimantan is needed regarding the production process for exports, the availability of financing programs, as well as support from all relevant agencies to encourage the economy in West Kalimantan. Meanwhile, to accelerate the handling of the scarcity and spike in the cost of export containers in Central Java, Tanjung Emas Customs and Excise coordinates with the Central Java Regional Secretary, the Assistant for Economics and Development, the Economic Bureau, the Transportation Service, and the Provincial Disperindag, to discuss strategic steps that can be taken so that the problem can be resolved.
"The scarcity of containers for export has been going on for almost 3 months, and has caused an accumulation of export commodities in the form of furniture/furniture from Jepara. So that Tanjung Emas Customs and Excise provide a solution so that small exporters use air consolidators, which are currently rarely used. So that exports continue to take place continuously, "explained Firman. Firman also explained that Tanjung Perak Customs and Excise is also cooperating with the Indonesian Export Companies Association (GPEI), to increase and encourage export potential from East Java. "Through this collaboration, Customs hopes that services and supervision of exporters from East Java will be more optimal," said Firman.
