The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) said that the revision related to the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 8 of 2024 (Permendag 8/2024) which regulates Import Policies and Regulations is still in process. Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso said the revision of Permendag 8/2024 must involve related ministries/institutions and business actors so that import policies are right on target. As a result, the revision of this policy is still ongoing and takes time, states Budi when met at the Ministry of Trade Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/3/2025). Furthermore, Budi said that the completion of Permendag 8/2024 will depend on the results of the discussion, including the commodity points that are being discussed and need to be reformulated.
