On Thursday, 18 July 2024, the Italian Embassy in collaboration with the Italian Business Association in Indonesia (IBAI) and the Italian Trade Agency held a hybrid workshop on the pharmaceutical sector to discuss on “The Indonesian Import Regulations and the Opportunities Offered by Italian Companies” that took place at Thamrin Room, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Jakarta at 15.00-17.00 (WIB) or 10.00-12.00 (CEST).

The first session of the workshop involved the representatives from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Drugs, Narcotics, Psychotropics, and Precursors of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan/BPOM), and The Food, Drug and Cosmetic Assessment Institute of the Indonesian Ulema Council (Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan, Obat- Obatan, dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia/LPPOM MUI). While the second session of the workshop involved the representatives from Menarini Indonesia, Soho Global Health Tbk, and Zambon Indonesia. The event was warmly welcomed by Bapak Giovanni Finarelli Baldassarre as the Head of the Economic & Commercial Section of the Embassy of Italy.

We examined that this hybrid seminar has given us clarity about the registration and procedure of export and import in pharmaceutical sectors and we would like to thank the speakers:
