Tenaris Supports 360 Students in Cilegon and Batam with Roberto Rocca Scholarships and School Donations

Jakarta, Indonesia – Tenaris reaffirmed its long-term commitment to education and community development through Community Relations events in Cilegon and Batam, bringing together government leaders, education authorities, school communities and representatives from the Embassy of Italy in Indonesia to celebrate student achievement and strengthen partnerships that support Indonesia's talented young generation. 

Across the two events, Tenaris awarded Roberto Rocca Scholarships to 360 outstanding students from 20 junior high schools, senior high schools and vocational schools. In Cilegon, the company also donated 18 Lenovo desktop computers to SMAN 2 Krakatau Steel Cilegon through its School Refurbishment Program and donations of supplies for community activities and post-disaster recovery through the Al-Khairiyah Cilegon Foundation.

The Community Relations event in Cilegon welcomed representatives from the Embassy of Italy in Indonesia, the Mayor of Cilegon, local education authorities and program beneficiery schools. Robinsar, Mayor of Cilegon, recognized Tenaris' continued investment in education, local talent development and employment opportunities, while Massimiliano Bertollo, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy in Indonesia, highlighted the importance of responsible investment that creates lasting value for local communities.

In Batam, the annual Roberto Rocca Scholarships ceremony brought together representatives from the Batam City Government, the Riau Islands Provincial Education Office, school leaders and teachers to recognize 185 scholarship recipients. Government and education representatives commended Tenaris for expanding educational opportunities and helping prepare the next generation of skilled and globally competitive talent.

Representing the Mayor of Batam, Nurzalie, Special Advisor for Community Affairs and Human Resources, emphasized that through its continued support for education, Tenaris is helping develop the next generation of talented, resilient and globally competitive young Indonesians, contributing to a stronger Indonesia. 
Since launching the Roberto Rocca Education Program in Cilegon and Batam in 2014, Tenaris has supported more than 2,000 high school and vocational school students through scholarships that recognize academic excellence and encourage them to pursue higher education and future careers. Through sustained collaboration with government and communities the company continues to invest in developing local talent and creating lasting value in the communities where it operates.
