Minangkabau SME’s Export 1 Ton of Rendang Seasoning to Germany

SME’s under the auspices of the Anak Nagari Minangkabau’s Cooperative exported 1 ton of rendang seasoning with the Dapur Mutiara’s brand to Hamburg, Germany. The first shipment of the rendang seasoning was carried out symbolically at the West Sumatra Governor's Office yard, Wednesday (27/7). West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi said that the Dapur Mutiara branded rendang seasoning was successfully exported after waiting for the curation process for almost six months. "We are very grateful and appreciate all those who have contributed to the realization of this shipment. For that, I will help with the management costs of IDR 50 million," he said. He hopes that exports of rendang seasoning will increase and expand to several European regions and other countries. Thus, economic activity in West Sumatra can move significantly in the future. "If this delivery goes well, it can drive the seasoning industry and the multiplier effect in West Sumatra. This will of course also move the agricultural sector, because the rendang seasoning has many ingredients. Besides rendang, hopefully other products will also follow," Mahyeldi explained.
